Africa Travel Initiative Foundation
Africa Travel Initiatives Foundation (ATIF) is a nonprofit organization rooted in the heart of Tanzania. Our story began in 2006, when Ernest—then a Kilimanjaro porter and guide—envisioned a better future for his community.
That dream came to life with the founding of Maasai Joy Children’s Centre, an English-medium primary school serving children from underserved and marginalized backgrounds.

To empower children, youth, and women in Tanzanian communities by addressing social, health, and educational needs while creating opportunities through responsible travel and sustainable development.
